The Toda tribal community has been preserving this art form of embroidery known as "pukoor" for thousands of years. This embroidery has a fine woven finish and is GI certified. The embroidery is distinctive as it is based on thread count unlike modern embroideries based on set patterns and designs. The reverse side of this piece of art is equally beautiful with no signs of hanging threads or knots. Through generations of dedication, the Toda artisans have preserved their traditions, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of craftsmanship.
